Laura Saad
My name is Laura. I decided during the summer before my senior year at Hood College to travel to South Korea to teach English. My journey began with obtaining my TEFL certification from the TEFL Institute online program. From there I applied to Gone2Korea.com who guided me through the process of finding a school in South Korea. After two nerve-wracking overseas interviews I was hired at the Little America Academy in Bucheon. Fast forward to the summer after graduation in May, unpacking and repacking my bags several times not knowing what to bring. Fast forward again to the teary goodbye in the airport before I headed off to an adventure where I would know no one and have a basic knowledge of the Korean alphabet. This blog serves as a reminder to me of my adventures here as well as an update for my friends and family around the world. I also hope it serves as an inspiration for others to travel abroad and teach, if not in South Korea then anywhere around the globe!
